We are a friendly independent barbers shop in the heart of Chapel Allerton. Established in 2001 but re-imagined in 2010 by the current owner, local resident barber, saxophonist and composer Toby Wiltshire.

We specialise in contemporary and traditional barbering in a relaxed and welcoming environment and cater for a wide range of clients of all ages. Our aim is to provide a calm retreat from the hustle and bustle of Chapel Allerton, where you get a chance to stop, unwind, listen to good music and leave with a sharp haircut or beard trim.

The design of the shop was influenced by the old curio shops in Toby’s hometown of Hastings. The things you’ll notice on entering Coldbath are the original exposed brickwork, vintage valve radio, 1950’s hot towel steamer, black and white floor tiles, chesterfield sofa and unique artwork. These design features are really important to us and this appreciation of the visual, translates perfectly into our approach to barbering. We have an eye for detail and all of us are perfectionists. Our shop ethos is that we believe in longer appointment times and taking our time with each service so we can really give each client the individual attention they deserve. And just so you know we also ask for a minimum of 8 years experience for any barber wishing to join our team

Another of our passions is sourcing incredible men’s grooming products from around the world. The kind of stuff you’re unlikely to see in your average barbers. We stock hand cream from Sweden, colognes from Spain and Italy and of course the best men’s hair and skin products made here in the UK.
